In Kensington, London

We enjoyed wandering through this cemetery and visiting all the famous people here. We enjoyed the statues and reading the history.

There is also a cafe here, with decorative restrooms. The food was creative- we had two breakfasts here.

Bethlem Royal Hospital- which used to be in London. Have you heard of Bedlam? This is where it comes from. It used to be an infamous insane asylum, shortened to Bedlam, which is what went on inside. It has been moved to outside of London, and is a now a soothing hospital for the mentally ill. There is artwork from its patients, and videos of conversations. It is well worth the train and bus trip (or the drive).

There are bathrooms and, a short walk away, a pretty cafe.

There is a pretty little gift shop:

The Royal Academy of Art- pleasant art exhibit, really nice cafe. Gorgeous bathrooms- clean and plenty. And it was right by the Linnean Society- which also has a bathroom.

The Linnean Society was very exciting to me, having read about the scientists forever. It was a bit disappointing to be reminded that some of their scientists were eugenicists. But it was way back in the day.......

No pictures again- hard to get pictures in some of these bathrooms. Invasion of privacy!
